BBT 10- Journal Entry #6: Digital Business

  • The most interesting thing about this unit is you find out all the stuff that happens with people and the internet.
  • Most of the information was easy to find because its all based on what we already know about sites and sources.
  • Yes, I sold an old formal dress on Facebook to one of the people on there. It was a positive experience because everything went good!
  • Two tips I think would be helpful when shopping online
  1. When buying online sometimes prices seem too good to be true so be careful of LARGE SHIPPING COSTS designed by the seller to get the real price through trickery. because people may not be aware of what the shipping cost may be, on top of their order.
  2. When buying using KIJIJI and other online service make sure buying is done in a PUBLIC PLACE and never send money via mail or other ways to the seller. because many people use online services like KIJIJI, and products on those websites may not always be real, it could be someone just looking for money.
    • I think the biggest issue among young people when it comes to onling shopping and/or selling, is that people don't realize how you have to check where and who you are getting your product from. If you don't check all the services, then your purchase may never come, or may come the completely wrong thing. Also when selling things online, you have to make sure you include all of the information needed.
